About Wellspring

How Wellspring started

We started as a support group in 2009. Here’s our story, what we believe and who leads us.

Our story

A Tuesday night group

Wellspring began in 2009 as a support group that met on Tuesday nights in the back room of a library. People came because of grief, addiction or a marriage that had ended, and a lot of them met Jesus in the middle of it.

By 2012 the group had grown into a church, and in 2015 we moved into the old fire hall on Spring Street. The Tuesday group still meets. Elena, who started it, is now our lead pastor.

What we believe

What we believe

01

God is close

He doesn’t wait for us to get it together before he comes near.

02

Jesus

Through his life, death and resurrection there is forgiveness and new life.

03

The Bible

We read it to know God, and it has the last word on how we live.

04

Healing takes people

Recovery happens best with people who know your story.

05

Passing it on

What we’ve been given, we try to give to our neighbours.

Our team

Who leads us

Elena started the Tuesday group in 2009. David leads care, and Marta runs the meal team, which has its own very serious group chat.
